Miami Cancer Institute Names Head and Neck Surgeon

Miami Cancer Institute at Baptist Health South Florida has announced that Geoffrey Young, M.D., Ph.D., will serve as chief of the division of Head and Neck Cancer Surgery.

Dr. Young received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in molecular and cellular pathology from the University of Alabama. He completed a residency in general surgery at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in New Brunswick, NJ. His post-doctoral training included a fellowship in head and neck surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Young comes to Miami Cancer Institute from Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, where he served as assistant professor of otolaryngology at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.
